The Most Meaningful Gift I Ever Received

The most thoughtful gift I ever received was a necklace from my grandmother that read "I will always be with you". She gave me this necklace before I went off to college. I was very nervous to live somewhere that wasn't my home and she knew that. She gave me the necklace so that if I ever got homesick, the necklace would be a constant reminder that she was always thinking of me, and she would never be far away. This gift resonated with me so deeply because of the meaning behind it. You know the saying "Actions speak louder than words?" To me, this gift perfectly demonstrates that. This gift was an action by her to show me how much she loves me and is thinking about me. She did not have to go out and customize a necklace to give to me, but she did. She always made sure to listen to me and was there for me no matter what. What makes this gift special is that it is timeless. I know that every time I put that necklace on, she will be close by. Even though she is sadly no longer on this earth, I still feel her love surrounding me as I wear the necklace.
