The Bible

The Bible is the most amazing book in the entire world. If you want an answer, the Bible will have it. As a Catholic Christian, I have been surrounded by the Bible since I was young. For most of my life, I learned about the Bible and the truth it contains. The Bible is the word of God, which we are so lucky to have. However, I did not learn to appreciate the Bible until recently.

I admit, for most of my life I never opened the Bible. I knew the truth was inside those pages and I thought to myself: "Why do I have to read the truth I already know?" This was a big lesson I learned recently. It is so important to read the word of God. Not only does it bring us closer to Him, but our eyes are truly opened to His truth. I am going through one of the darkest times of my life right now, and what has been getting me through the day is reading the Bible. I never appreciated it, until now. It was something I took for granted. I often find God speaks to me when I read the Bible. The Bible is one of the closest connections we have to God. If you read the entire Bible, God loves you. If you have read some chapters of the Bible, God loves you. If you have never picked up a Bible in your life, God still loves you. He calls us to follow him and His word, and reading the Bible is a great place to start.

If you are going through a difficult time in your life, turn to God. Whether that is through prayer, reading the Bible, going to church, etc., give your worries and stress to Him.

John 3:16 states "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life."

God gave us His only son so that we may be saved. God accepts you as you are and loves you. You are His child and we are your brothers and sisters. In a world where it can be so lonely, remember you are not alone because God is always there.
