The Best Piece of Advice I Have Ever Received

This picture hits home. Recently, I have been struggling with moving on from a long-term relationship. This image describes how I am feeling. Long story short, I still loved my ex after the breakup, despite all the pain he caused me. He caused so much stress and unhappiness in my life, and yet I still loved him. A few nights ago I was so confused about if I should tell him I still love him or not. It turns out, the same time I had this feeling I found out he moved on to another girl. I sobbed to my best friend because before I found out this news, the day prior I was saying how much I loved and missed him. Then, my best friend gave me the best advice I have ever received. She said:

"Are you confused? If you are, then it is not from God".

When she said that, everything was put into perspective. The reality is that my ex left, but God didn't. I am crying and who is there to comfort me? It was not my ex, but God. God is the only person that truly matters. I truly believe God spoke through my best friend to tell me that.

At the end of the day, my life is better without my ex. My life is not better without God. Yes, things did not go the way I planned but that is because it is not my plan that needs to work out. It is God's plan that always triumphs.

Things may seem hard right now, and I am right there with you. You are not alone in this journey of life. I am praying for you and God is always there with you. Call on Him. Rely on Him. Surrender to Him. Know you are not alone with Him.
