Introduction
Lent is a 40-day period of preparation leading up to Easter in the Catholic Church and many other Christian traditions. It is a time of reflection, repentance, and spiritual growth, meant to help us grow closer to God. The 40 days represent the time Jesus spent fasting and praying in the desert before beginning His public ministry. In Lent, we give something up for 40 days and replace what we gave up with something that will lead us closer to God. Here are a few suggestions as you begin to prepare for Lent:

The goal of Lent is to grow in faith, detach from worldly distractions, and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter, when we celebrate Jesus' resurrection. It's a time to refocus on what truly matters and deepen our commitment to Christ. I will be praying for you all during this Lenten Season.
